Ed's Top 20 7 - 14 March 2010

Well another week has passed and here's the new chart. No.1 this week is Big Bang's Strong Baby closely followed by the new track from Wan's latest release, No Time Left. 2 other new entries, from Aof and Jack's latest ballad. A re-entry from K.Will at No. 19. K.Will seems to be the top charter with 3 entries, including the formal No. 1 Miss Miss Miss...

Lydia Don't Leave Me Here

Well did a little intro to Lydia in my previous posting and just had to le the world hear this track. If it was given an international release, I bet it'll be huge. Enjoy.

Wendy Moten People's Got To Be Free

People's Got To Be Free was taken from Wendy's second released Life's What You Make It. Very diff from her debut self titled album which includes the European & Asian smash Come In Out Of The Rain, which she is very much known for. People's Got To Be Free is an acoustic mellow and meaningful track. It shoulda been a big hit.

Sonia Strong Without You

Strong Without You was taken from Sonia's second self titled album. Though she wasn't that much of a big star but she has been known for the retro track You'll Never Stop Me Loving You back in the 90's. Here's my ususal story, this song would've gotta Sonia a bigger name. To add on, her version of End Of The World (the classic oldie) still gets air-play and it would be her second most well-known track. Young Hearts Run Free, the Candi Staton cover, was taken from her third album Better The Devil You Know.

Sally Yeh 我心深處

我心深處 was taken from the top selling album 真心 which sold more than 500,000 copies in Taiwan during the release in 1995. It was an outstanding track which was composed by poetic Guo Zi.

Namcha Ruk tae...yung ngai (Remix)

Namcha was like the biggest new teenage popper in Thailand last year. Ruk tae...yung ngai was like the song but I only enjoy the remix version. Very happy tune and u'll humm to the intro and chorus. For sure you would have heard this song at the Thai Disco. Well I am adding this track cos I thought I saw someone that looks like Namcha yesterday at Starbucks.

Wan No Time Left : Kon mai mee we-la : คนไม่มีเวลา

Am so loving this song now. The latest release from Wan, from his second long awaited album Soloist Plan B. This album is just as good as his debut a few years back Soloist. Very worth the wait for this album. Guess I will be Wan-ing around.

Juwita Suwito I Breathe Again

Juwita's based in Malaysia and she and follow country singer Zee Avi are like the gems of Malaysia. Great vocals and I Breather Again is like so beautifully sung. Acoustic lovers will love this.

Jenny Yang Not Fair

This track was taken from the Taiwanese Drama 鬥魚. When I first heard this song, instantly I fell in love with it. Well no history of the singer except that she re-appeared again in 鬥魚 II soundtrack.

藍心湄 Not Afraid To Love

This is my fave song from Pauline Lan Xin Mei. Though it's an old song, still love it. It could be included in a chill out album.

AOF Khong tee ter mai ruk ของที่เธอไม่รัก

This was taken from Aof's third album Offering Love. Love the dance remix and of course the original ballad version.

Peck Palitchoke Card Bai Nueng

This was one of the single released from Peck's second album I'm In Love. Really love the dance and ballad version. Peck really hit it bigger after 3 young singer came together to form the group Peck Aof Ice.

Vanessa Williams Just Friends

Taken from her jazz album The Real Thing, this has to be my fave track from the album, as you can hear, Babyface's on backing vocals.

Deborah Cox Hurt So Much/One Day You Will

Hurt So Much was taken from The Morning After album which is my fave track. Always wondered why it wasn't released as a single. The same goes for One Day You Will, from One Wish. It was the hit maker Diana Warren's creation. Diana Warren was like the writer of the late 90's.

Jack เลอะเลือน Lluh Leuan

The new single from Jack. Climbing up fast on the Thai charts. This ballad isn't as catchy as Love Me If You Can but it has quite nice arrangements. His upcoming solo debut album is gonna be a big hit.

Cathy Dennis & Heidi Montag

Though there's alot of questions why Cathy worked with Heidi (from The Hills) be, Cathy's a great writter. I must admit that it's not Cathy's best but I still like her. I am curious how this album will do on the charts (only available via DL currently). Fanatic was the official second single. I think Blackout would be a better choice as a single. It has a slight old school format, which is becoming an in-thing. The lyrics rather cool..."Blackout the satelite and be my lone star..." http://www.mediafire.com/?zjoynjoxyqg

Deborah Cox Club Classics

Deborah's the better known club diva and here's 4 of her No.1 Club hits. Deborah's biggest hit up to date is Nobody's Suppose To Be Here, which went on 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Chart, 8 weeks at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles. The single was certified Platinum in US. In Thailand, Play Your Part is still very frequently played in the clubs. http://www.mediafire.com/?omuzyikyo5z

Ed's Top 20 1 - 7 March 2010

This week we got 2 new entries, with the highest entry from Adam Lambert's latest Whataya Want From Me and B.O.Y. (Blood On Youth). Lydia's down from last week top charter to No.4 and C.N. Blue's heading the charts this week with the infectious hit I'm A Loner closing up with Big Bang's Strong Baby. Watch out for Gavy NJ, heading up slowly with Sunflower.

Kal Sing My Song

Kal's no stranger in the Thai music industry but I noticed her only last year when the series of Feel By, all standard jazz covers were released and Kal was invloved. The Feel By Kal jazz album was beautiful. Jazz lovers will have to get a copy. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mmjhtca4zuo

Dina Carroll Without Love

Well, Dina Carroll would be introduced as the lost diva. She won the 1994 Brits Awards for Best Female Vocalist but sad to say that she was only huge in UK and of course she made quite a name in the Clubs. This will have to be my fave club hit from Dina back in 99 from her last released, The Very Best Of. Dina used to hold the record for best selling debut album (So Close) by a female artist (5 x Platinum) until Dido broke it. Dina will be back soon with a jazz album.

Cathy Dennis Intact

Cathy Dennis' the one...Here's a selection which includes the acoustic version of Too Many Walls and the Alternative Version Falling. Tons of great tracks like The Date, Fade Away, Consolation, I Just Love You and of the first ever studio cover by Cathy, Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks. Let the Pop Doctor, Grammy Winner entertain you in 2010, with the long awaited new album (The Sexcassettes) and new works for Britney and Kylie. Wouldn't it be great if Lady GaGa and Cathy could work some stuff together. It'll be a blast.
